26 MILES, 385 YARDS!!!! WOW! Amazing strength and endurance. Marine Corps Marathon is the “people’s marathon” with nearly 21,000 runners amidst our nations’ monuments in the background.

songs of praise

I did not understand the songs of jubilie, but it was a beautiful sight to witness (Ethiopian Orthodox Christians singing and dancing in praise).

wide-awake

Isn’t she the cutest little bundle?

This little angel was completely awake the entire session. When placed in her car seat after the session; she fell fast asleep. Her mommy and I had a good chuckle!

on the farm

I went alongside with a three-year old boy and his parents for this photo session. It was a working farm right in the middle of Fairfax County, Virginia. He was the cutest little thing, spelling out all the colors as I asked him to name the colors of random objects. R-E-D! Oh yeah, they had lots of red barns, red trucks and red tractors.

Here are some photos of me playing around with editing styles. View sample album in mix styles or original formats.

Gloucester Institute - Emerging Leaders 2009

I had the pleasure of photographing a Gloucester Institute benefit event to train the young future leaders in the African-American community about etiquette.  The evening started out with introductions and cocktails, then a reception and ballroom dancing in the grand home of Nina May of McLean, Virginia. The finale ended with some photos on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The lady spear-heading this event (which also encompassed an entire weekend of wonderful learning experiences) is a well-connected Washingtonian, Kay Coles James, President and Founder of The Gloucester Institute.
